Shaun McIlroy

Hi, I'm Shaun — an AI Product Quality Lead based in the Greater Southampton Area. I investigate how AI and product systems behave in real-world environments and build frameworks that make that behaviour measurable and reliable.

I've spent over eight years at Help Scout, working across technical support, product quality, and AI reliability. More recently, my work has focused on LLM evaluation: measuring model behaviour, assessing product output quality, and identifying where AI responses need safeguards.

Outside of work, I enjoy photography and exploring the world with my family, especially seeing my children experience new things for the first time. I also enjoy experimenting with new tools and finding simpler ways to solve complex problems.
